It's with no small amount of pleasure that I can anounce that we at Convallis can now offer Web hosting to our customers (old and new).
For some time we've realised that a lot of people prefer a service that takes all the aggravation of creating a web site away from them. Let's face it, selecting a host and then uploading your web pages onto your new site isn't the most user friendly experience in the world. Not everyone understands (or wants to) what a domain is, what FTP is or what HTML is.
So to that end we are now offering a service that takes the pain out of it. We'll sort out your domain, create the email addresses that you want and upload your web pages onto the web server. As well as that we will also design a few pages to get you started, although we'll need some help from you (i.e. we'll need pictures and some idea of the topics and text you want to display).
But it must be said that we specialise in creating data driven sites be that an e-shop (we can create a shop to your own specifications using a shopping cart framework we've recently developed) or something else.
One of our first projects has been for a florist, Pinks by Post, they specialise in sending gift boxes of flowers through the post and we've had the good fortune to have been asked to develop and host their site. It has been a great project to involved with and is a classic example of how we can help our customers to create a unique identity on the web and create a shopping experience that fits the nature of the products being sold, which in this case didn't quite fit the traditional shopping cart metaphor used by all e-shops.
